Silesian treasure, or in other words the Red Town, unique monument of industrial architecture
was created in 1908 as the complex of buildings belonging to Gishe mine (nowadays called “Wieczorek”) altogether with working class colony and communal housing. Designed by Zillman brothers, it was unique in its beauty and functionality in that time while today it appears
as the crowning achievement of architectural concept of the Iron and Steam Age.
Nikiszowiec located on the "Trail of technological monuments" is a real tourist attraction,
which shouldn’t be ommitted while visiting Silesian region by those who claim to be sensitive
to industrial beauty and architectural curiosities. There are many places here
waiting for your arrival and visit – the housing estate, the main square
of the district, St. Anne church (also designed by Zillman brothers),
